PARA help 4 PWDs receive tri-cycles

Differently-Abled People’s Collective B Subbayamma along with N Mangathayaru and K Ramakrishna of Ethakota, Srinu and S Mangadevi of Ravulapalem went to Welfare Department, Kakinada to receive tri-cycles on 10th October, 2019.Earlier on 4th October, 2019, the DAPC Coordinator applied for the tri-cycles online.

The DAPC Coordinator said that still few differently-abled people in the district were not aware of their rights therefore not availing benefits from the government schemes. She added that ever since the introduction of applying online for availing government schemes and other benefits, the woes of PWDs had only increased. N Mangathayaru said that she was not educated and she did not know how to apply for a tri-cycle. She added that B Subbayamma helped her in filling the application online and followed it up repeatedly. I received the tri-cycle on 10th October, 2019 along with other 3 beneficiaries.

Another beneficiary K Ramakrishna said that it was difficult for them to go any place on their own. They either depend on somebody to take themto some place or pay a lot of money to hire an auto. He added that with the help of these tricycles, they no longer had to depend on others. This made themless dependent, he said. The other beneficiaries who received tri-cycles were M Srinu and S Mangadevi.
